Golden Visa

The Golden Visa permit registers you in the Schengen Area central system so you can freely travel within Europe without an additional visa. It allows you to live in Portugal and also relocate your family. Additionally, it provides the opportunity to become a permanent resident or be eligible for Portuguese citizenship in five years’ time.

With a minimum stay requirement of seven days a year in Portugal, five years after applying for this residence permit, you can apply for permanent residence or nationality, provided certain conditions are met.
